Michael Ybarra

Michael advises Berner Law’s clients on transactional matters, including all matters relating to the formation and funding of new business enterprises, as well as facilitating cross-border investments. In addition to advising Berner Law’s clients, Michael is the founder of Ybarra PLLC, a New York-based law firm which advises investors and high-growth ventures on corporate law matters.

Michael received his B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 2002, and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 2006. Following law school, Michael worked in New York City for several years as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, one of the premier law firms in the United States.

Michael has ample experience working with international clients, both public and private. He has a longstanding interest in international law and human rights, and continues to work on consultations to UNDP and foreign governments to to strengthen development and the rule of law. At Georgetown, Michael was Managing Editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs. Subsequently, at NYU, he was Managing Editor of the New York University Journal of International Law & Politics.

Michael is admitted to practice law in New York and Texas.
